Had problems with my car overheating due to the fan not working. ive checked this on the battery and works ok so can only assume it the is the thermostat. where is this located? sorry if this is a silly question but dont know!!

possibly in the radiator unless its fitted ito one of the pipeds with an alluminiumm T or it could be switched manually.

I take it you have checke the fuses it could also be a dodgy relay if one is wired ito the circuit which it should be

A remote fan switch normally has a copper tube going under the silicon hose whereas it's likely to be (if you've got a polo rad like most) on the top left hand side (from the driving position) of the rad....
