hi all
come to put wires back on my 1.8 cvh alternator and cant find the paper what tells me where each wire goes.!
it has 3 nuts on it labelled W B+ and D+
anyone help?

can i ask why the original sierra loom had 3 wires going to it then? ie a wire was connected to w

im looking at the haynessierra manual now, trying to get my head around it...lol
yes all in a line next to each other.
W is a 12v output, see here, page 8.

the haynes sierra manual seems to suggest that the Alt is used to power a module, such as the electronic choke on a carbed engine for instance, i can
only assume this is the W.

That would have been a Blue and white wire. Goes to the choke via a relay driven from the esc-hybrid unit.
