Sierra Fuel Sender - Acewell Help Whitestu

I've got an Acewell dash and a sierra sender.

I've just measured across the pins and also with ref to earth so all combinations, and the only tangible readings I can get for resistance are 40 Ohms empty and 215 full.

A google search brings up that 240 empty to 30 full is about what I'd expect from an "industry std" sender used on lots of different cars.

Why is mine backwards?

Also I know Whitestu has a sierra sender with an acewell clock. If you're reading this then what pin out did you wire to in order for it to work? Or if anyone else can comment on this combo it would be appreciated.

with the acewell there are three settings available for the fuel gauge these work in relation the the resistance so set the acewell to suit the sender

I'd read that when I bought it but I was confused that people say the sender should read 240 full when mine reads 230 empty, weird!

remove the sender wire it up and lift it by hand and see whether the gauge rises to full. if not change the settings until you get the correct reading

It was a while ago, but I think there was on;y one fuel gauge pin on the Acewell.

As others have said I swiched the Ohms setting on the Aceweel unit to make the sender work. Can't remember what setting it was though.

Cheers, I meant pin out on the sender as it's a 3 pin plug plus an earth

Don't mattter, I'll play around with it until it works, ta
