Can someone please explain the difference between a motorcycle and a car 2 pin relay?

I have tried replacing my busa relay with an aftermarket item and it will not flash!!

Depends on the Relay.

A Universal Digital one (2 Pin) is the one to go for - any load (within reason) and automatically adjusts for 6v and 12v - maintains blink rate.

hmmm, no replies?

the flash rate of the 2 pin (using bi-metalic switch) is determined by the loading of the bulbs i.e. the wattage of the bulbs.

car indicators are 21 W but pretty sure bike one are less.

I tried to use a relay from a Land Rover (i.e. a car) on a Z1000 and no go - even though the bulb wattage was not hugely different, whci did surprise me.

2 pin digital? hmmmm not come across that; there are 3 pin which are independent of bulb wattage so can be used for LED lamps but need an extra connection to ground.
