electrics for iva quest?
chunky2772 - 19/10/10 at 09:03 PM

im running a bike engine in my car can the electrics be wired so hazards and lights work when ignition is switched to park! as you can remove the key from the barrel or does the lights and hazard have to work in the off position as well. my reason is i dont want little scroats fiddleing with the lights on my car when its parked up? will this fail iva if i do it this way!

Put in a battery cut-off switch after IVA.

Scroat-proof, and handy when you are messing with electrics and want to keep the smoke in.

Nicked this from somewhere but should do what you want. I would think that the hazards needs to work with the key out?

Hazards must work all the time, ie with all keys out, immobilizers off, etc.

Tell tale must also work at all times.

Fit a master switch after IVA, as said that stops anybody fiddling with switches when your not around from draining your battery etc.

Hazards have to work with everything else switched off IVA.

ive tryed to wire up as the drawing above but my system is a switched negative and i also have a bike alarm fitted to the car so everytime i try to wire hazards to come on when ignition is of it keeps setting my alarm off! any ideas? this iva is becoming a nightmare (if a bike is wired so hazards only work when switched to park why carnt a kit car be wired the same.this is mad!)
