I am not using my factory air box, what do I do with the sensor? are all the air sensors needed? air temp, pressure etc?
U2u Cosmick on here and he'll be able to tell you.
The sensor in the airbox is NOT the atmospheric sensor. It is the airbox temperature sensor. It is designed to adjust the mixture according to the air
temperature immediately before the air is drawn into the engine. So, it still needs to be used. Failure to do so will bring the FI light on. If you
plan to use a sausage type filter then you should mount it in the back plate.
Each sensor is there to do a job. The most critical is Engine temperature, followed by the MAP sensor. The other sensor is the Atmospheric sensor
which will adjust the mixture if you climb a hill and the pressure drops. Finally, the Air Temp in the airbox.
All of them need to be in circuit. They will all affect the running of the car if not in circuit.

as above im using a custom airbox and i just mounted it in there no problems runs sweet as a nut
What about the othersensors? I have removed the vacume control solenoid, how are the rest of the air pipes on the throttle bodies plumbed in?
The Vacuum control solenoid is only there to open a flapper valve in the airbox. This was originally how the air speed was controlled inside the
airbox. This can safely be disconnected and done away with. However, ALL the other sensors MUST be used.
You should have 4 Vacuum pipes joined to go to the MAP sensor. The original Vac pipe that went to the solenoid to open the flapper valve can be
blanked off and so too for the PAIR system if you are not using that.

I think I may be missing some sensors, I have the plugs but no idea where thy connect!
Right then, I have just been out to the garage, I have air temp(airbox) sorted, I have the intake air pressure sensor with a connector for what appears to be a vacume pipe, does this connect to the vaccume pipes on the throttle boddies? also, I cannot see a plug for the atmospheric sensor? where/what does this connect to?
Panick over...thanks to cosmick!! a big thankyou!
