KOSO RNX2 REV COUNTER PROBLEM
laptoprob - 12/1/11 at 08:05 AM

I have a Koso RNX2 Clock in my Tiger and am havin a nightmare with the rev counter.

I cant get a feed from the Weber Alpha ecu so i have to go with the + wire on the coil pack or have tried the wrapping round the HT lead loads of times trick.

Problem is that the rev counter jumps all over the place seemingly like it has loads of interference??

Anyone else had this problem and if so what was the remedy?

I had a similar problem with an Elliot tacho on my Westfield. I added some resistance in the signal wire, which smoothed the signal out and resolved the issue. Can't remember what resistor values I used though (sorry).

Thanks mate, will try it.

Actually, thinking about it, I think it was a pull-down resistor I fitted - i.e. a a resistor between the signal and earth wires.
Try that.
