I've jsut wired up an oil pressure gauge and find it's reading about 80PSI without the engine running and doesn't change much when it
is.
I'm trying to work out if the sender or gauge are faulty - or both.
The sender measures 155Ohms off the engine.
Does anyone have an idea what level of resistance I should expect from the sender unit (the gauge is ranged 0-100PSI)? Are these things standard - i
.e. do I need to get a sender from the same manufacturer as the gauge.
Note - the gauges are made by TIM (I went cheep and regreting it)
Thanks
I think you will find the wires are wrong way round at gauge end.
