Has anyone used a much smaller alternator to a xflow?

Mine is currently dry sumped so looking at saving some space and will also need to run minimal lights.
Car is a Mallock Mk11/14

Most builders opt for a small alternator used on a small Dihatsu hatchback. Although race type ones are available at a price.
