I know Honda engines rotate the wrong way, but does this mean that Honda alternators spin the wrong way too?

Or can you spin an alternator either way?

Alternators by definition make AC current, and will do so turning either way.

I've had a number of Honda units apart and see no mechanical reason why it would even know the difference.

I've seena Honda alternator on ebay that loos nice and compact.
