Looking to buy one, but not heard anything about them before other than the name.

Had one on my turbod and injected 2cv, Dave and Karl modded the M3D to suit my little 2 cyl engine, worked good, i expect they have improved them since i had mine in 1999, that little car really used to pee people off, was running over 70 bhp, std was 30, now if i could only make time to do some work on the blackbird powered one.

Excellent piece of kit. Excellent service.

Lots of rolling roads used to mapping them too which is an important factor to consider!

I have an Emerald ECU on my car, easy to get running and change settings , good back up if needed but worth getting the car set up on a rolling road for final set up like any other ECU . Might be worth having a read of Dave Walkers book on engine management which also comes with a CD so you can practice setting it up without needing to connect it to the car. Emeralds rolling road is in Wooton , Norfolk so not too far away from you

First class bit of kit and as said backup first class too. If I needed to get another ECU Emerald would be my first port of call. Dropped in once with a set of injectors for testing, they stuck them straight on their test rig and checked them for me while I waited, all for a donation to their Tea fund.

ive got one and find it easy to understand and as said found them to be more than helpfull, however whether they are better than someone like omex i do not know, i chose a Emerald as they are local to me so getting help amd mapping was easy, i would also look to see what ECU's your local RR map and their service before specifically chosing one make though
