relays for switching the earth connection?
daniel mason - 21/4/11 at 06:08 PM

using a standard 4 pin relay with these standard connections
battery +ve to one side of switch contact
feed to light (or load) to the other side of switch contact
ground to one side of coil
feed from switch to other side of coil

can you use the same relays to do this to switch the -ve as the honda s2000 switches -ve on the lighting circuit
battery +ve to one side of switch contact
feed to light to other side of switch contact
a link from battery +ve terminal to one side of coil.
and the -ve (ground) to activate the coil

or will i need special relays? or will the stalk switch (honda s2000) switch +12v

I run battery power to terminal 30 and 87 to load. 86 is your power into the relay and 85 is the earth and the switch can be in the wire to either of these two connections.
