I want a warning light on my dash for when the engine (2008 R1) is in neutral, and also for the stock low oil level warning.
both of these have just 1 single wire.
so how would i go about wiring these up to a warning lamp? as surely its going to need an external power source?
cheers for any help.
are u not useing the bike clocks as this is fitted as standerd
if there's only one wire out the sensors/switch then they usually earth through the body of the sensor/switch, therefore
12+ - warning lamp - sensor - earth through whatever the sensor/switch is attached to
no im not using R1 dials.
im not sure i quite understand, do i need a power source, or will the sensor already have the power?
as if the sensor already has power it will be : sensor wire to bulb, then bulb to earth.
or do i need to incorporate a external 12V+ into there?
actually, just had a good look at the R1 wiring diagram, and it shows that the sensor switches the earth.
so this then has to be a case of a 12V+ to the bulb, then to the sensor/switch to earth?
is this right?
cheers
