Hi all
Couple of questions about lighting and telltales.
I have 3 savage switches, one each for side, dipped and mai beam, all the led switch lights are blue.
Q1. Savage side light symbol doesnt comply with recognised symbol in section 33 of the manual, so will it need labeling?
Q2. Side light and dipped beam switches are blue in colour when sw on, now my instruments light up when the side lights are on so that covers the
teltale requirement but the official tell tale colour should be green? as far as i can see the dipped beam dont require a telltale, but if there is
one fitted again it should be green?
I know the manual also states: "The tell tale must operate with the operation of the position lamp switch, it may be the illumination of the
instruments or a separate lamp of The tell tale must operate with the operation of the position lamp switch, it may be the illumination of the
instruments or a separate lamp of any colour (providing it is not likely to confuse the driver) clearly identified in either a pictogram (see section
33) or in a word format. clearly identified in either a pictogram (see section 33) or in a word format."
But could having three switches with the same colour be intepreted as confusing?
Q3. Do reflectors have to be mounted vertically a la fog/reverse?
Cheers
Steve
Everyone uses them and has no issues, I don't see why you should. Awesome dash by the way!
AFIK only the fog light has to be mounted vertically.
These passed

I had a query from Daniel Mason about the wedge I used to keep the fog light vertical.
If you look at the brake/indicator/tail light cluster you will see that it is mounted in a black plastic box. I had a spare one of these so I simply
cut the back box at about 25 deg to form a wedge. The fog light is fixed by long bolts that pass through the box and hold the whole thing to the rear
panel. This pic shows it better.
