From what I remember from my SVA you have dip beam then when you go to main beam you still have dip on so in theory you take the power feed for your fog lamp from the dip beam, mine doesn't have a relay for the fog as it's only 21 watt so no major switching issue. don't forget the tell tale

thanks tony

im using a savage switch and think this lights up when switched on.
is this ok for a tell tale?

The fog light needs to work with main or dipped beams. If you are using savage switches then you will need to take a feed from each of the main and dipped outputs. You will also need to fit diodes in line to prevent any backfeed.
If you do a search I'm sure a diagram will crop up.

The savage sw light is fine for a tell-tale.
