Testing electronic tachometer

Sorry to ask a similar question to one asked recently but that one didnt give me an answer. I have an old Veglia Borletti electronic tacho I need to test. It has terminals marked as + - and 1. Does anyone know where those treminals connect to, so I can see if its working?
