Which column / stalks?
DH2 - 28/9/11 at 01:09 PM

I'm thinking about using column stalks in my Stylus. It currently has some nasty old Escrot ones, which I'd like to replace with something a bit more modern. Anyone used anything other than Sierra ones (not to my taste)?
I also have some minor reservations about weatherproofness thereof - whilst I will have weather gear, sometimes it is difficult to avoid things getting a little wet. But I quite like the idea of a multi-function control rather than loads of buttons/switches.

Ah that looks useful, thanks.

Further thing I neglected to mention... I'd quite like some with a variable intermittent wipe function if possible. Also I'm not tied to the Sierra steering column (again currently has an Escrot one), so am open to suggestions on that too.

I was going to use a Renault stalk, but never got around to it, and then went with Savage switches instead.

You are welcome to it if it is of any use (assuming I can find it ):

I can think of one great reason to stick to Sierra column switches - the vast majority of kit car looms are made centred around the Sierra switches. (just my tenpenn'th).

I'll be making a new loom for the whole car anyway, so not an issue in this case.

I think it was from an old Clio. There were a couple of threads of people using them. I orginally found This on the Westfield forum.

It does not have the plug or loom, so I was going to use small spade connectors or solder a home made fly-lead on.

( becoming less sure that I still have it - I'll look tonight. Pretty cheap & common on ebay. )

I've got one of the 106/saxo light stalks plus the plug and cable which I don't need. (all lights including fog +horn). You can have it for the postage (or collect from Norwich).

Don't have the wiper one though, so can't help there.
