Hi guys i cant be the only one who suffers this and im starting to get really annoyed by such a small problem.
All my dash dials are made by Revotec, they come with a 52mm o ring that sits between the pod and the dash panel but they are always breaking from the
rubber drying and cracking. I have to glue them back together once a year or so but is becoming a joke.
How have you managed to stop this?
or
have you just not used them?
or
where can i buy them in bulk?
One broke last night on the way home so i lost my temper and chucked it out the car, then had to stop and tighten the bolts as they come lose on the
pod. lol

yeah i had this too! cars not on the road yet anyway, but i put the gauges in the dash, within a year the o rings were all cracked. perhaps some sort of black instant gasket type stuff is the way forward. not sikaflex, but some sort of silicone?
Have tried normal O-rings? We buy it by the roll and make out own and they don't fall to bits!
you can get normal 52mm o-rings, but they'll mostly be quite fat like these:
linky (8mm)
I've seen flat ones before, but I can't find any for sale that size
so I'd guess you'd be looking at buying the rolls of stuff you splice together...
[edit - too slow again...]
or you could get a flat sheet of rubber and cut some out (I'm guessing they could be waterjet cut if you wanted them neat)

Try your local hydraulics specialist, they are likely to have them in stock .
At least i know its not just me then, i was glueing them back together. I did try normal 'o' rings but just as you say they are HUGE! I
think the only thing to do is add it to the winter routine to replace them ever year with the stuff on a roll.
I left them off

i thought this, but why are they there? to stop scratching the dash or to seal water from the wiring behind them?
These guys do high quality O-rings in any size that you can name.

They won't crack.
i used some old brake caliper seals left over from rebuilding my volvo 4 pots, fitted very well and have a square shoulder instead of round like o rings.
