Hi - I have a Koso DBR02 speedo unit, and I am in the process of programming it to get the MPH correct.
The inputs I have are:
Number of magnets: 1 (placed on prop shaft)
Circumference of the wheel: 167cm
Now I know that these things are normally for motorbikes, so they make there calculation based on 1 rotation of the magnet eqautes to 1 rotation of
the wheel, but I also know that my diff is rotating the wheels more times than the prop.
The diff is 3.62, so am I right in saying that one turn of the prop shaft gives 3.62 turns of the wheels?
If thats the case, what do I need to adjust to get it reading correctly? I was thinking that I need to multiply the circumference of the wheel by the
diff ratio. So instead of inputing 167cm I should be inputting 604.54cm? Or is it the other way round!!?!?!?
Your help as always is massively appreciated!
Cheers
Matt
Other way round prop turns faster
Matt, divide your wheel circumference (normally measured in mm, but don't know for sure with the Koso) by the diff ratio - job done!

Brill. Thanks alot. Easily sorted then.
