i have removed the digidash from my car, done some jiggery pokery and am up to the stage of putting in the new old gauge. am i right in thinking i can
use the tacho feed wire that used to go to the acewell unit to go on the bullet connector on the back of my smiths gauge (neg from coil). i have
looked over the various diagrams and cant seem to find a reason why it cant. just thought i'd see if anyone was sure. its an rvc gauge by the way
so will work with the electronic ignition that i have.
cheers.
Should work fine matey, no reason not to connect it up to there.
Great thanks. One more thing, 5 amp or 15amp bullet connector?
5 A is plenty beefy enough, it's only a signal wire to pick up the pulses.
Can I ask why you have stooped using the acewel?
I didn't like it. Have gone back in time and gone analog
which one did you have? is there any thing in particular you did not like, or get on with?
its an ace-3250 with warning light surround.
i just thought it looked tacky, didnt go with the car and needed changing.
i dont like the fact you cant see everything at once propperly either.

thanks for the info. I have been trying to find pictures of ace well stuff fitted to cars to see what they look like. I like the fact that they are small and will fir above the steering wheel but I'm not sure I like the look of them.
