just a quick one guys, im using an acewell dash, and im trying to set up the speedo on it, i have a magnet mounted on the prop (GBSC Zero kit car by
the way) and i have the reed switch mounted about the magnet, if you rotate the prop by hand i can feel the reed switch clicking so i know its
working.. obviously there must be some kind of calibration needed to get the speedo reading correctly, IE how much the car moved in relation to one
revolution of the prop?
i figured that the wheel circumferance divided by the diff ratio would give you the correct number to put into the acwell? im not sure if that is
correct though! does any body know?
the acwell manual makes no sence, this is the example and the exact english used in the manual :
the setting value shal be changed be calculating the wheel circumference be divided by the ratio of wheel and speed cable gear (not using any speed
cable gear) for example the wheel circumference has to be divided by 5 in case 1 wheel revoulution equals 5 turns of speed cable.
out of curiosity were did you buy it
