Hi all

I need a TPS for my gsxr ITBs which will be running on an Omex 600 ecu eventually.

there are a couple of TPS's on ebay at the moment but im unsure if they will fit and if they are the correct ones for my ITB's

the ITB's are k1 - k3.

The TPS ive been looking at is :

what concerns me is that after looking at numerous images of these TB's they seem to have 2 or 3 Tps but the one that fits directly to the TB's has a black plug whereas the one in the link has a white plug.....is it likely this isnt actually a TPS?

GSXR have 2 tps, one is on the primary throttles (the one controlled by the cable), the other is on the secondary throttles (which are controlled by a servo, this servo also manages the additional air during warmup).

I think the one you have there is the one from the secondary throttle plates.

I had a feeling this myt be the case.

Any ideas for another place to source the correct tps from?.....I suppose ringing around some bike breakers is my best bet.

Be careful when sourcing.

My experience is that the TPS is the weak link in an otherwise long-lived system. They do fail due to the wear on the potentiometer track, also the internal spring weakens. First signs are usually a jittery noise on idle, follwed by the ECU getting really upset when the fault later develops.

Thanks...is there anywhere I can buy them new then? Maybe more expensive but at least Id know its going to work OK.
