Another PWS Loom Q
Dick Axtell - 6/4/12 at 12:35 PM

Trying to tidy up wiring in engine bay area. Used PWS Sierra - based loom, and some wires are unused, e.g. wipers, heater.

Two wires now without ID, ('cos I've lost the labels I stuck on them!!!). 1st wire - sky blue, with red pin stripe; I think this connects to my oil press switch (sited in the Xflow block's oil gallery). Appears to meet spec in PWS original sheet. Is this correct? Pls advise.

2nd wire - Black, with blue stripe; what should this connect to?? Have totally forgotten if was needed, so will welcome info as to what should be connected. Cannot find ID on the PWS sheet.

On mine, Blue/red is dip beam supply from dip switch. I think there are 2 of these so you may only need to use one.
Oil pressure switch should be white/brown.
Like you, I can't find a black/blue

Not on mine. Lights etc all connected & working correctly. Only things not connected, (a) wipers, (b) heater, (c) oil press switch, and (d) water temp sensor.

Pretty sure white/brown (or is it brown/white?) connects to water temp sensor. Guessing black/blue wire must be for the heater (by elimination process!). Gotta re-check wiper motor wire colours.

Found PWS newer website, and contacted them. Finally got definitive answer to my lost wires 'ID' prob.

Alan (PWS) replied with the following :-

Blue/red - connectes to - electronic oil pressure gauge (if required),

Black/blue - connectes to - switched earth for screen washer bottle (had totally forgotten this one!!),

Brown/white - connectes to - water temp,

Brown/green - connectes to - oil warning light (got it!!).
