I'm about to start fitting the loom from my Escort donor, but I'm going to have to extend some of the wires. Can I use any colour wire for the extensions or do I have to use wire the same colour as each one being extended?

Also I seem to remember seeing a thread which gives details of how to connect the Escort loom to Sierra Column but can't find it now. Anyone know which it is?

Personally I would say if you can then use the same colour wires as it will make things much easier further down the line although I know alot of people use 7-core trailer wire to extend looms to the rear of the car.

i would try and stick to the same colours, i've had to try and deal with "wiring repairs" in the past and a wire thats one colour at one end and another at the other is difficult to follow.
