ecu wiring

right due to my sillyness i have bought an ecu from south africa dicktator and need to wire it to my duratec all going well apart from injectors anybody bit of a boffin on here point me in the right direction

You will need more info on how you intend to run them. Batch fire, sequential ect.

A switched live to all four and the ecu will earth them.

hi dont know what you mean by batch fire you seem to know more than me i am strugling with the concepts why would you bwant to fire when not on firing stroke sorry but i am carburter man need to learn so much about engine management and concepts thanks for reply keep coming

Hi Ben its A DICKTATOR google it they have a good web site looks like a good bit of kit just trying to get my head round wiring it

It looks similar to a megasquirt set up.

You have a relay switched by the ECU (PIN 7) this relay serves power to the fuel pump and injectors (pin 87). Take the red/yellow wire and connect it to the same pin on all 4 injectors.

Then you have two outputs pin 19 and pin 20, take one and wire to injectors 1 & 2, take other and wire to injectors 3 & 4.

Just had a quick look at mine I actually wired 1 & 4 together and 2 & 3 together. This is batch firing - bit like waisted spark.

You need a cam sensor to do any sort of sequential injection i.e. 1,3,4,2 - which the Duratec has but you ECU needs to be able to do it too.
