Hi guys I'm looking to purchase a koso rx2 digital gauge and was wondering what else I'll need to get it working in my tiger Avon? I've
currently got the standard tiger gauges
It comes with senders and wiring. It says so on the website. The specifics of wiring it up to your engine and wiring loom is unique to your car.
Thanks, would I just use the wires that are currently feeding my gauges and wire them up to the koso loom or would I need all new wires? I've never done anything like this before so abit lost. It's also going onto my tiger avon which has a blacktop supercharged with omex 500 ecu, would this be a problem?
Nope, you'll need to fit the speed sensor onto the prop shaft or half shaft and then calibrate it. An alternative would be getting a gearbox adapter and putting it directly onto that. The senders for water temp, oil etc would have to be matched to the KOSA unit so these would probably need to be replaced with the KOSA supplied units, assuming the threads are the same, or you'll need adapters. You can use the Omex ecu Aux output to drive the tacho I believe.

Other than lap timer option which is another £20 for the remote what other functions does it have over the KOSO Rx2N as I'm considering one of
these too?

Ok, ignoring the lap timer the standard price is £229.95 compared with £245.95, I can offer a discount to LCB, but I can't post it here, Acewell get very funny about advertising discounts, it's not a fortune off but any discount is better than none!
The Acewell is available with 9000, 12000, or 15000 tacho, so more options than 10,000 or 20,000, the Acewell has a max temp warning light (owner adjustable) which could save you an engine! the battery voltage warning & fuel guage are completely owner adjustable allowing for any fuel sender, it has more warning lights built in, it has 2 x temp inputs for oil/water/ambient air temp (additional sensor required for ambient air or 2nd temp), it has gear indicator (up to 8 gears & Neutral), voltage, & a second mileage trip, mainenance reminder can be set for hours or mileage & then also offers the option of upgrading either at purchase or any time later to the wired remote control enabling the 100 lap lap timer, so I'd have said that's quite a bit more than the Koso does.
The other MAJOR advantage with Acewell is that I've been dealing with them for about 4 years now, in which time I think I've seen just 2 faulty units, they are absolutely rock solid & should you ever damage anything, need spares, wiring etc. we can get almost anything for them.
