H4 bulb male connectors
phelpsa - 2/10/04 at 04:23 PM

I have been looking for Male connetctors to go into the female connectors which plug onto the H4 bulb (if you know what I mean) I haven't found any. Anyone know where I could get some?

Do you mean you want a 3 pin male connector that will plug into the normal female bulb connector on the hasness, or 3 seperate spade terminals that will fit the female connectons in the harness connector............Or have I got hold of the wrong end of the stick completely.

If you are extending the wires just cut them and put a piece in. The bulb has the male connector

We have bought some lights for our Subaru, but they are designed for an STI which has and H3 for main beam and H1 for dipped beam. The WRX has an H4 bulb with both in one (if you get what I mean), so I need a male connector to replace the bulb to plug into the female end, which would normally plug straight onto the bulb. We cannot hard wire it in as this would void the warranty, they need to be removable to replace them with the normal lights.

Silex, I think you got the idea.

So what you want is 3 male spade connectors. You can use insulated female spades straight onto the bulb terminals. They just won't be in a block so you'll have to put them on individually but that's no problem. Something like this or a variation of it would do it. Rescued attachment wiring.jpg

That was what we were going to do if I couldn't find a connector, so I think we will do that.

Basicly, it wants to be like this:

But at the moment it is like this, with a connector which won't fit.
