What should i use to cover the terminals for mr IVA?

You could use normal nut covers?

does it matter if any of the ring connector is still exposed?

Yep, it certainly does. Mr IVA was keen to fail mine on 'minor' things and the coil having exposed terminals was one of them!

Something along the lines of here should do it.
