Ignition Switch

Hi
After a bit of advice please

The car wouldnt start no fuel pump noise or starter turn. I have checked the voltage at the ignition supply = 12.6v (click 1) but at the ignition (click 2) all i had was 0.7v. I had approx 0.6v at the fuel pump relay.
No blown fuses etc
The car is still being built but i turn it over to keep oil circulating and i cannot think of anything electrically that i have altered as its at the body work phase.
I have a fancy ignition switch but didnt want to fit it until after IVA hence the question.
The car is a Sylva J15 with fiesta steering column and ignition switch.

Am i right in thinking that the fault is likely to be in the ignition barrel ?

Thanks

Hot wire it, click it to 1, then supply 12vs to the starter signal wire.

no the key part of the lock is fine, its the switch on the back, (often easy to separate )

Thanks
I will have to decide whether to repair/replace or just fit the aftermarket starter button. Will keep the key for the IVA steering lock.

separating the steering lock and ignition function makes it difficult to comply with the requirements of section 13a of iva, where it must be deactivated before the engine can start or run.

edit, should be fine if just using a separate start button, but not ign/start

Hi
Cant do the pictures at present but it is from a fiesta on a fiesta column, i hear what Gremlin is saying that some scumbug could start the car drive off and then hurt themselves at the first bend so i fail IVA.
Seeing as it was a freebe from Sylva i might as well get another second hand the cost is not worth the faff of trying to fix it, im getting to the cant wait to finish it stage.

Thanks
