Does anyone know the outer size (diameter) or this type of 13 pin trailer socket?
I'm using 7 pin ones on my bulkheads for lights and engine electrics, but could do with more than 7 pins for the engine electrics, really

Think they are the same size as the 7 pin ones.
Awesome, cheers.
I can fit a 7 pin socket, but need more pins, so hopefully its not any bigger!
It would make sense for them to be the same size, as anything different may not fit on all towbars without fouling bracketry, bumpers, etc.
That is quite a large socket for a small number of pins.
I used a 20 way pc power connector for my dash; see link to maplins./ you buy the pack of pins separately.
You can always double up the pins for earth etc.

Need to dig the info out but it is a power connector.
Pins a rated at a couple of amps so ok for instruments. I don't think i have high current leads connected such as headlamps, starter but buy
using a relay those items could be switched.

The 13 pin ones push and twist in not just push. They are the same size externally as the 7 pin ones .
see here:

shows the white connector that I used.
