anyone help me setup the unit its a rx1n, neutral light and indicators work but speedo doesnt or the revs
What engine?
Presuming the Rev counter self tests when ign turned on?
Using bike speed sensor or Koso one?
it's a 5vy r1 yes the rev counter does the start up but the revs are a bit way world I'd say
Can you be a little more descriptive? Do the revs on the dash respond at all? What are you using as the feed from the bike? On my current engine, the
only method I can use is to pick up on the feed from the ecu that originally went to the bike clocks. If I try coming off the coils, I get
nothing....
As for the speedo, I take it you are using the sensor provided with some magnets? The original bike speedo signal will not usually work, so if that is
what you have currently, then that is the answer.
the revs are from spark plug 1 its been soldered in and speedo yes koso sensor and magnet
Using Koso speed sensor?
I've just fitted a Koso to my car with a 5JJ R1 and I've had to wire the Rev counter into a wire direct form one of the coil packs, the wire
that goes to the bike clocks Rev counter was no good and giving stupid readings.if you look on the instructions it shows the alternative Rev counter
wiring.
I've put my speed sensor on the rear diff, reading off the 6 bolts that hold driveshaft into stub axle in diff.the speedo is very good and
accurate.

no light at all, have a picture how do you post

That sensor is way too far from the wheel, has to be within a few millimetres.
Try moving it closer and see if the light comes on.
Think you need to have a really good read of the instructions!
have removed there certainly no light at all no matter where i hold it regarding wheel, i dont have fitting instructions
Check you've got power at the sensor,if not check if you have power at the plug behind clocks is where I would start.
how you fitted the rev cable to plug 1?

mine is soldered in its the blue/yellow wire and you can see the run its connected also under the short shift my electian friend thought it should be
shielded and said how its run not surprised im getting interferance?
I've used the Koso supplied wire, which is shielded.
There are loads of settings relating to the Rev counter you need to set in the clocks, number of cylinders/sparks per revolution etc.
See if instructions are available to download if I was you, mine is a different model to yours so instructions could well be different.
just found this on net

everything in that download you need to know.
Looks like yours needs to use magnets for the speed sensor, the gap needs to be under 8mm from sensor to magnets.
did you set up the tyre circumference for the speedo?
I only bought car on thurs and this was how it was and only 1 magnet stuck to inner of alloy
My main issue it says rev cable should be just wrapped around spark plug wire mine is soldered

Told by ex owner was worrying fine until last few months
ive got the speedo working its a little out so redialed a wheel length but cant check due to weather but have noticed the clock keep reseting its self to 0:00 could there be issue with head unit as its holding other setting? anyone got advice regarding the waywould revs?
Have you tried the different rev settings in the clock?
Because my coil pack does two cylinders I had to set the rev counter up to the two cylinder setting in the clocks, also you can choose positive or
negative feed types.
It's set up for 4 cyl and piston 1 and hi
Do your coilpacks fire two cylinders?
If so try setting for 4 stroke 2 cylinder
There are 8 connectors in total if that helps?
Just tried 4c 2p and still same
sorted speedo and revs :-)

got speed sensor around 4mm from magnet and diameters was out took a rolling diameter of wheel and put them into setting now within 1mph of sat nav
The revs I completely removed the koso wire and replaced with a shield heat resistant core cable and is perfect now
Ah right nice one.
The cable koso give you is not fit for purpose my mate who's a instrument tech was very surprised how poor the design is
We'll done Craig! Not bad after only 2 days of ownership! You'll be doing more and more to the car as things progress and you progress as a
driver!

I'm really anal with cars they have to be right I can do anything machanical but electrics not my strongest points but I am relentless :-)
A good attitude to have! Once you've done some track work, you'll be desperate to compete in it! It will be a very very quick car
Not as quick as my impreza haha or my ducati
Should be on another level to the Impreza on hills and sprints, and depending on the spec of the Impreza I'd imagine on track too
I'd say impreza much quicker it's nearly 600 bhp
have double shielded core today now revs are perfect so if anyone needs parts or help with this issue is be happy to help
