I'm 95% of the way in fitting a Ford 2.0 DOHC EFI engine into my Midtec Spyder...(don't try this at home!...Modification city!)

The car uses a Renault gearbox so I cannot use the original Ford speed sensor.
I need to know if I can tap into the speedo speed sensor to give a signal to the ECU.
Will it give the correct number/type of pulses?
I have an Isspro electronic speedo. The sensor picks up from 10 magnets direct from a driveshaft.
