I am trying to replace my heater resistor due to the fan only operating on high speed on my wifes Citroen C4. Before it drives me insane can anybody tell me the location of the heater resistor on my Citroen C4. The Haynes manual says once the glove box is removed it is located on the passenger side by the fan motor. I have also looked on the Citroen owners forum and this appears to be a common problem with unanswered questions. I have the replacement part but there is absolutely no sign of the faulty part anywhere has anyone ever undertaken this work, if so pictures please, thanks.
It may be visible with the blower motor removed? ,possibly further into the heater ducting? Try moving the recycling lever with the ignition switch on which moves a flap motor and linkage that may reveal the wiring on top of the ducting , possibly on the drivers side.
normally in the heater ducting, they need passing air to keep them cool
Not done a C4 but have on a 307 which is the same platform. On that car its way down the drivers side foot well and you have to take a few covers off to see it. Then its an arm stretch to reach it to the left of the clutch pedal in the plastic heater ducting. Easy to change if it hasn't melted like mine had. I guess the C4 will be similar probably
LHD and RHD use the same heater --- hence on drivers side on RHD
