I have fitted an Alternator from a Pug 206 to my car.

Connecting the wiring to the battery is straight forward but the feed for the igntion light is provided by two thin wires from a plug on the side of the unit. I know that the 206 has multiplex wiring so Iam not sure how to wire the feed for the light in. Is it a matter of connecting one wire to the igntion light and the other to earth?

Car was about a year old 1.4 and had a Mitsubushi alternator with the following numbers labled on it: 9644927080 12cl6.

In the picture the two loose wires that you can see had the grey connected to pin one and red connected to pin two as marked on the plug.

These are the terminal definitions as detailed in the Hella alternator catalogue:
The grey wire is L, ign lamp, the red one is DF, which I think would be field.
Hopefully that info will help or allow someone with more knowledge than I to comment.
