Koso Digidash

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience using KOSO Digidashes at all. I bought a small DB-01RN to position on top of the steering wheel cowl in the gap inside the top of the steering wheel and all functions are working bar the tacho. I've got it connected to the wire that went to the stock tacho and I've been through numerous settings on the dash with no joy.

Any clues anybody?

Chris

I think some OE tacho signals are not compatable?

In the instructions with my Koso it shows you three IIRC ways to connect the tacho?

Thanks Coskev. I think the BMW tacho signal should be okay. I've measured it as a 5v pulse train which should be usable. The supplier suggested wrapping a wire round the top of the coil pack straight to the dash to see if that worked but I haven't tried it yet and it sounds a bit 'agricultural' for my liking. The instructions suggest that connecting directly to the BMW wire should work (although it refers to a BMW bike rather than car...)

Can you alter hi/lo etc in the settings on the dash?

Mines a bigger clock than yours, seem to remember quite a few options in the tacho settings

There is a Hi/Lo option although I'm not sure what it refers to...?

Looking in my instructions Hi Is for positive input,Lo is for negative input.

Hi Coskev,

I'll give the Hi/Lo thing a go and see if that helps. Failing that I'll definitely get in touch for your diagram.

Thanks for the help,

Chris

Coskev,

Got it going. It was the hi/lo thing. Thanks for your help.

Chris
