I was particularly impressed with the Odyssey Extreme battery that I fitted to the G15 BMW and would like to use a similar dry cell battery on the
project. I'm using a 1.6 Sigma engine with EFI and air conditioning. The standard battery for the Focus is a 075. Can anyone recommend a suitable
battery from the extensive Odyssey range please?
Thank you.
I had no problems with a Pc680 on both a 2.0 Zetec and a 1.8. Both Na and turbo with full efi, Twin fuel pumps, twin o2 sensors, high torque
starter.
I have gone bigger for the dinosaur like 2.8 Cologne as it takes for ever to start once the fuel in the carb has evaporated.

The T7 design billet battery tray for it is very nice if a little extravagant

I've used a couple of the second one in your links and have been spot on. The current one is spinning over a 3.0 v6 with no probs.
I used the PC680 on a tuned 2 litre XE and its a good battery
The only thing to be aware of is they don't respond well if rundown flat, So they don't like parasitic drain etc over a period of time
I used to keep it on a trickle charger and/or use the battery cut off switch
The Agm can be laid flat.
They are remarkably capable considering their size, I was cranking the v6 over a lot before going for a full start during the build and it stood up
well. Even over the winter I disconnected it when fully charged and left it for 5 months and it held its full charge.
