Can anyone tell me which production model of Toyota this alternator would have been fitted to?
It is currently on a 4A-GE engine in my Westfield, but has no identifying marks/codes etc.
It is not from a MR2 as these (and many other Toyotas), have the B-post on the side, not the back. This type will not fit.

I know this one fits so I just want to replace like with like.
Especially problematic is the position/orientation of the B-post. In lots of these ND alternators it is on the side. That's no good for this
particular installation. It needs to be at the back, like in the photo.
deffo looks like a Kabuto one, have a look on fleabay as new digger engines come with the alternator but people take it off and flog it seperatley as it,s brand spanking new
Pretty sure thats an Celica ST185 or ST205 (89-96) alternator, without the removable air cooling duct on the back. I'm not in the UK to check

It may be also from the non-turbocharged engines (3SGE instead of 3SGTE) in the same chassis package (ST183, ST202), basically any 89-96 Celica with a
3S- engine.

With the improved (larger) images you can see the ND logo on it (Nippon Denso). Same as the Kubota digger alternator I used on my Pinto'd MK
Indy.
I made my own mounting for it so it fitted to the original Pinto engine block threaded mounting points (as the original alternator fitted) using a
chunk of 50mm x 50mm angle iron. Cut and drilled to suit.
