It looks like all you need is a warning light to tell you they are on, or to be able to see the actual indicator, so you can switch it off
yourself.
yours, Pete.
I would like to know for sure, it would be nice to do away with all the stalks..
C'mon chaps somebody out there must know the awnser to this one???
You DON'T need self cancelling indicators
anyway
I prefer to indicate with my fingers!
Cheers
Chris
Centre digit, right hand usually!

Thats right, round and round in a tight circular motion, well according to our lass that is.
Agreed. My brother has a W*******d and their indicator is a switch on the dashboard. You click it on, and then you click it off. . ... manually . .. .
Been considering indicators myself. Have already ground off all the crap on the column as I can't bear to have anything looking like it was once on a
sierra on my car.
However, I watched somebody use a dash mounted switch and its a bit of a pain, especially as I'm gonna be driving it to work in the summer so
regularly using them in town.
Vehicle Wiring Products do a very simple long arm indicator switch that mounts onto the column which I'm probably gonna get - no Sierra bollocks, but
column indicators - NOT self centering tho'.
thanks chaps i didn't want to use the sierra stalks, gonna mod a bike push to cancel button
dont quote me on this one but im sure that i have heard of self cancelling rocker switches for indicators. they have a 15 sec delay before they turn
off. so you can have dash mounted with less hastle of having to remember to switch them off!! not to sure who makes them but i think its caterham /
westfield = £`s !!!
Bob
SVC do a clockwork !!! version, not cheap though.

You could look at Stafford Vehicle Components on
http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/
£35 + £3 P&P
"Self-cancelling clockwork indicator switch" found under "switches" on the left-hand bar.

I don't have the stalk with me (fnarr) but isn't it possible to cut the stalk at the base and reattach a better looking one.
Just a though, don't have many so I might as well share.
wot about fittin a wee delay thingy like you get in the interior lights on cars?????
You would then have to have a push button or a sprung switch to operate it. Not a problem, just a requirement
Viper,
Not sure how it works (could be flasher unit itself) but BMW's K series bikes are self cancel after about 200 yds. Basically push button and
forget!
Might be worth a bit of investigation?
