Afternoon all,
I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for the dash mounted switches for my car (Sylva Mojo) that are SVA compliant? I'm after
something that looks cool, and is not going to break the bank.
I'll need all the usual stuff, like Starter, wipers, washer, fog light, hazards, headlamps, sidelights, indicators, etc...
cheers!

Can you not use column mounted one's which will take care of: wipers, washers, sidelights, headlights, main beam, indicators... that would only leave you requiring Fog and Hazards Or is that not what you want? (But it will break the bank even less!)
mount them behind the steering wheel, then you can put what ever switches you like on it then. sva safe place !
As kitlooney says, mount them behind the steering wheel, or to the right hand side of the wheel (between the wheel and the side of the car) and you
can fit whatever you like as those places arent tested for projections. Also if you fit a sierra wheel for the test you will have even more room to
put your switches.

aaah, I like the sound of the SVA free region on the dash!
Are there any official guidelines on the "projection exempt" area?
As for the Sierra columns, then I have considered this, but I don't think they really fit in with the "custom almost one-off" car look
that I am going for. I am considering using the switch units that the stalks are attached to, and making some custom stalks to fit on them. Whether
I can do this or not, remains to be seen though.
Cheers
Andy
One i've seen done before is to use toggle switches with steel hoops either side of each switch (only a finger in going to get near the switches then). The switches can then be mounted in the middle of the dash.
