Hi, i'm sure this will have been disscussed before but i am unsure which wires go where in the ignition amp i have 3 different diagrams ( haynes manual, tiger book ) and this one:


Pin/Function
1 To Coil -ve Pin 1 & Rev Counter supply
2 To Coil +ve Pin 15 on Ignition Switch
3 To Ignition switch 50
4 To Pin 1 on Induction Distributor
5 To Pin 15 on Induction Distributor
6 To -ve Earth

Sierra Colour
1 Gn
2 Bk
3 Bk/Gn
4 Gn/Y
5 Bk/R
6 Bn

engine turns over whichever one i use but is one better than the other or doesn't it really matter?

No3 goes to the cranking feed on the solenoid on mine but it's the same difference, the rest of it's same

Depends what number you have on your little black box.
If you post it on here, I can double check how it should be wired.
Should be the same as mine and Carls though.

sorted it now
wired it up as above filled with petrol and it started straight away
