Hydraulic Brake Light Switch
Surrey Dave - 11/6/05 at 12:17 PM

My brakes light switch (midget hydraulic) has stopped working , can they be fixed /cleaned , or is a replacement needed?

It was new when I built the car but probably seized through lack of use..........

Sounds like a new one to me - they are a sealed unit

Strange they are generally 99.99999999% reliable much more so than pedal operated switches.

this used to happen on some of the rear brakes on motorbikes,at a stand still try pressing hard on your brake pedal a few times

It's a suprise you don't have a siezed up whole car if you don't use the brakes!!
