Light Switch advice please
DarrenW - 27/7/05 at 07:54 AM

I have removed all of the std Sierra switch gear off my steering column to give it the clean look. I was going to fit a full compliment of savage switches but am now not keen on having individual light switches (sidelight, dipped beam, main beam, flash). Does anyone know of a suitable rotary or toggle switch that is available in the aftermarket world that will look great and control the sidelights, dipped beam and main beam?? I dont mind having a seperate switch to flash the lights. I would prefer not to have a rocker switch.

I dont know how to spec the switch i need. If toglle is it off - on - on - on??

Supplier and switch details greatly appreciated please (or a pic of what you have used).

Many Thanks,
Darren.

Try vehicle wiring products.

They have a website somewhere.

You could try:
www.holden.co.uk
Brilliant catalogue for car bits, although it can be a bit expensive.
They have a Lucas switch, 35940 (I think) that has off-on-flick, that can be used for side, main, and flash. They also have a full range of rocker switches.
Cheers John

I've used a rotary switch donated by a colleague. He thinks it was off a Cavalier.
It's 3 position (off/side/head) and also has push-pull action probably for interior light originally but now operating a c/o relay for main/dip.
There's no flash (yet).

Sorry Darren, I'll be a little more helpful this time

Has some rotary switches suitable for lights on them but whether they do off-on-on-on I'm not sure
