location of Side repeater lights - opinions please
ditchlewis - 8/8/05 at 03:22 PM

I'm just fitting the lights and i am wanting to fit the side repeaters to the side panels between front wheel and the scuttle.

i note that the sva manual states that there is some leaway with 7 type cars about the location of the side repeaters.

i have thought about the skuttle for the location of the repeater but i am fitting a screen after the sva test and i dont think there will be room for that as well.

has anyone had problems with the sva and the site repeaters?

Mine are on the scuttle and I can't see how they would interfere with any screen. There are some pics in my archive. SVA was fine with them here.

SVA are pretty ok with side repeaters. To be honest my guy didn't seem go give a stuff where they were but best be reasonably sensible.

I put mine on the side pannel just in front of the scuttle (not on the bonnet) as far back as they could go.

Just look at others and see what they have done.

Mine are also on the scuttle - check out the pictures on my website.

The tester just walked around the car, squatted down to car level, and so on. I worked on the principle that if you can see an indicator no matter where you stand then you won't go far wrong.

Mine are on side panel just in front of scuttle. Im also fitting wing top front indicators that are visible from the moon! dont anticipate any problems.

On the side of the scuttle, made wiring very easy. Rescued attachment 6_Exhaust_Finished_2.JPG

Many thanks Guys...

I think that the skuttle looks favorite, it will be higher and more visible there. hopefully it will be less of a problem for SVA.
