I went for these after much consideration. They will have LED bulbs in them. Rescued attachment Rear with lights in place.jpg

Watch those LED bulbs which claim that they are 'a direct replacement' for standard bulbs. They are fine if you are directly behind the car but a few degrees either side and they dissappear due to their narrow viewing angle! They are laso practically invisible during daylight (bent rear end to prove it)
The new designs with 32 led's seem a little better but beware.

Oh yes .... SVC sell them

indykid - 9/10/05 at 11:21 PM

i'd be a fool if i didn't say the real SVC LED lights.

they're far and away the brightest, most visible lights on the market atm, mainly because the full area of the light is illuminated

not cheap, but far cheaper than repairing a rear ender

Definitely agree - I saw them at Stoneleigh and was very impressed with them. They do a stop/tail, indicator & fog. As Indy says, not cheap (they even do a clear reverse which costs about £80 IIRC ) but the others are at least affordable.
It is about time that technology caught up with the lighting on vehicles - the idea of passing a current through a coil of wire to make it white hot seems quite primitive in comparison to the led units.

I have bagged a pair of a new design 'replacement bulb' from Hong Kong and I will post my findings when I eventually get them. A novel design .... Rescued attachment 1157_flux1.jpg

zzrpowerd-locost,

My lights were from Mac#1 and are completely clear lenses with just a slight smoke to them. With LED bulbs they appear completely clear, or with normal coloured bulbs you can see on the pic they do show orange and red.
