I'm still after a dizzy for my early red top engine , an astra or cav one from a 1.6 will fit apparantly, but there are two types- a slot drive or peg drive , anyone know which one will fit the redtop?
also I'm told that there were two different types of ignition fitted, one with a coil, and another type. any info gladly received!!

You are indeed correct as in the early Astra or Mk2 Cav fit perfectly. I would suggest you get the one with the slotted holes as it's easier to bolt down.
I beleive they are peg drives and come with coils.
