Mk 1 Sierra Column Switches

Am I correct in thinking that the Mk 1 Sierra Column Switches have the horn on the end of one of the stalks? And that no relays are used to switch the lights, all current goes through the (beefier) switches in the column?

Thanks

I have used MK1 sierra switches and the horn switch is on the end of the indicator stalk, I hope you are correct about no relays because that is the way i have done mine, mk3 escort switches also appear to be identical apart from the offset of the stalk from the steering wheel is different.

Where the horn switch was on sierra's depended on the trim level. Base up to GL was indicator, Gl upwards was on the steering wheel.
Some had relays some didn't. If you use the horn a LOT, then expect to burn out the contacts in the switch occasionaly (2/3 years-ish, put a fuse in supply just in case)
