Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had used a suitable alternative to the Sierra Indicator and main beam stalk as I would like to tidy things up on my column.
I would like to use say a Focus one that has the lights switch built in but I don't think the auto cancel will mate up with the sierra column.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Someone on ebay was doing an alloy stalk to fit the sierra switch, click below for link

I also wanted to tidy this area up so i junked the lot and fitted savage switches. The alloy key switch housing was then machined by Mac#1 Motorsports
so i could retain the upper column bearing.
Now looks a lot neater and no need for a cover to be made. indicators are via a 3 posn toggle switch contained within the exempt zone.
The only problem with the alloy stalk is that I still need the light switch. I do like the idea of the machined down alloy column though. Do you have any pics of the finished job? What about an immobiliser with getting rid of the column lock?
I done the same except i used a grinder to cut the lock off and then cleaned it up. I use rocker switches for indicators and main beam similar to the westfield ones and a clifford virtual key immobiliser with push button start.
I have used slightly modified Mk4 escort stubby switchgear as it looked better with a small diameter steering wheel.

I used to have a Pug 106 and some one on here was trying to use a stalk of one of them.
I sent him a wiring diagram, but I'm not sure how he got on with it.
The 106 stalk has an end bit that rotates for side and dip lights, pulls back for flash, pushes forwards for main beam, up and down to indicate and a
horn push in the end. That's your lot, apart from the fog.

How much work is involved in fitting the escort stalks? Are they a direct fit for the Sierra column?
I take it, thats an escort surround too?
How new can you go with the Sierra column I wonder

I'd ditch the Sierra bit and get a Manta column - much neater!!

it is possible to use an indicator and flasher unit from a VW series one Camper Van. They fit neatly around the column.
