Whats the best way to earth your wiring to the chassis?

I've fitted ring terminals to the earth wires drilled and tapped the chassis cleaned an area back to metal, applied some grease to prevent rusting and then bolted the ring to chassis. does this sound ok?

fuel pump/ filter fitted.
Diff fitted.

I'm just doing some of the wiring (from the front down the gearbox tunnel to the rear before fitting the inner panels)

Careful what grease you use some does not pass electricity very well, graphite grease is best. Make sure you have realy good metal to metal contact over as big an area as possible, serrated washers help by digging in to both surfaces and remember that if you use an aluminium terminal on a steel rail and water gets in there the ally will corrode, try and get tin plated copper crimps.

I also did that, but with stainless steel M6 cap screws. When you paint the chassis, mask the thread and half the head. Doing this the earth point won't rust and look bad later

i just drilled a hole and screwed in one of those self tapping hex head bolts. Threads bite into chassis - job done.
