Hi does wiring have to go through the transmission tunnel? thinking of routing my wiring along the passenger bottom rail?

No reason why you can't go anywhere really. Just make sure you can access it for maintenance, make sure it is firmly secured with P clips or similar, avoid any hot spots and it should be fine. Grommets are essential if you are going through metal panels or rails.

Do they look for grommets everywhere?? got a couple of places where wires go through ali sheeting without grommets.....they are secured very close in both sides securely and I've heatshrinked them twice to protect, one has conduit sleeve stuff over it aswell.....will this be OK for SVA or not??? Cheers Oli.

If you have heatshrinked the cable entries I reckon you will be ok. I mentioned it more for safety than anything else - you don't want to risk a fire due to a short

I routed cables along the top and fluids along the bottom, then if there is a leak the wiring is kept dry.
