Hey up,

I'm all set to put my bike speedo in thanks to 02GF74, but the wire to the sensor isnt long enough, can you cut the wire and extend it and if so what with?

Cheers

Chris

Yes. I had to do it with mine. The wires in the cable are tiny so you have to be carefull when you cut the sheath off. I just used bell wire t extnd them.

If you put the ends of the wires in an electreic drill and hold the other ends tight you can make a nice wire braid thing.

Is it a bicycle one? If so IIRC the wire to the senor is 2 wires connected to a reed switch in the sensor. I dont think they are screened.

You can extend it with any thin 2 core cable. Even bell cable would be ok, theres a miniscule voltage and current down the wire.
